West Bay is a charming, mostly residential district with winding roads, pretty Caribbean–style homes and some of Cayman’s most popular attractions including the Cayman Turtle Farm where you can encounter nature and wildlife. Walk across the street and you can interact, swim and kiss the dolphins at one of the two dolphin parks.
You can also experience a bit of Hell on earth by visiting the eerie and desolate looking blackened calciferous rock that earned its highly appropriate name. Send letters and cards to family and friends with HELL postmark clearly stamped on the back.
Depending on what your taste buds fancy, you have many choices of restaurants with fabulous views of the sea and a relaxed atmosphere.
Join us as we explore Cayman's history and culture during our Pirates Week District Heritage Day where we give you a true taste of what life was like. Learn how to make rope with indigenous Cayman Silver Thatch palms, create a bed made from dried leaves of a banana tree and much more.
West Bay Heritage Day is one of the highlights of our National Festival.
