18th Annual Children’s Fun Fair Day

Sponsored by Progressive Distributors and Cayman 27 at Camana Bay, it is an event in which the whole community comes together through the provision of gifts, resources, or just helping out. Come out and enjoy a day where the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman cooks and serves food. Rotaract will be helping with signing up the children so they get the chance of winning a bicycle – we give five away, Leos Club provide snow cones, and the Cayman Islands Royal Police Service Dog Handlers, Drug Squad and Community Officers entertain the kids. It is great fun when the police traffic department has the kids sitting on the bikes or in the police cars with the sirens blaring. We also have the Humane Society there with our furry friends available for petting and walking.

Among the fun and games planned is a painting competition, fancy dress competition, beautiful baby competition, bouncy castle, face painting. All the pirates will be there: the Texas Pirates, the Seattle Seafair Pirates, Blackbeard and his First Mate, Dee Gee and the amazing Johnny Depp lookalike. Keep an eye on the water as we have something special planned.

Food and drink is provided for all the children, including hot dogs, hamburgers, Ocean Spray, Gatorade, and snow cones. To ensure that the little ones do not get sun burnt there will be ample supplies of sun screen courtesy of Ocean Potion.

Every child will receive a free gift and have the chance to win one of five bicycles, thanks to the generosity of First Caribbean International, G.E.L., Kirk Home Centre. We will also be handing out the Children’s Artwork Competition Awards and the Children’s Poetry Competition Awards from the school competitions throughout the islands.

The event starts at 12.00 noon and runs till 4.00pm

The Crescent is located at the end of the Paseo in Camana Bay overlooking the sound, and there is ample parking.
