Pirate Costume Competition
Get in the spirit this Pirates Week by walking the plank in your finest pirate garb! Come one, come all to join in the fun by competing in this year’s Pirate Costume Competition, sponsored by Home Gas Ltd. The contest, which is open to visitors and residents alike, will take place on lucky Friday, 13 November, at 6pm at the Goring Avenue stage. The judges for the event are none other than the Seattle Seafair Pirates and the Las Tortugas Pirates!

Cash prizes will be awarded on the spot to 1st and 2nd place winners (CI$100 and $50 respectively) in three categories – Tiny Tots, Juniors and Adults – for the best individual pirate outfit. Plus, winners will be featured on a special float in the Parade that follows the Landing Pageant on Saturday, 14 November.

Register to enter the contest in advance with an entry form available from the Pirates Week Office, 10 Shedden Road, or from Home Gas in the Citrus Grove building at 106 Goring Avenue. Also, forms can be downloaded online from www.homegas.net. Or you can simply sign up at the Goring Avenue stage on 13th November between 5:00 – 5:30 pm before the event takes place.

So whether you’re going to be walking the plank or cheering on those who do, you don’t want to miss this year’s Pirate Costume Competition!
