North Side
Date: Monday, 12 November
Visitors to our beautiful district of North Side can experience the serene beauty of nature at both the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Park and our untouched Mastic Trail. A leisurely drive through our district will take you to the breath taking Water Cay Park Kaibo home to our Heritage Day.
Our guests can look forward to visiting the reenactment of a local back yard garden, roasting a pig, and the dying arts of rope making, crocheting, tatting, almond popping, plaiting, wamper making, conch blowing and catboat sailing. You can also play games of days gone by as we show case gigs and marble games. Listen to the latest gossip under the almond tree, sway to our local Kitchen Band, an exciting DJ and the rhythms of the steel band.
Do you have kids? A special park is outfitted with amusement games just for them. Oh and we will have a special Wow ball session this year so bring your swimsuit!
For the culinary connoisseur, taste our mouth watering local foods and beverages and you must try our decadent cakes, tarts, jams and jellies.
Top off the night with a bonfire and fireworks displays, as you dance under the stars to the sounds of a local and a surprise band. Don’t forget the bar is open until 2am. So make our North Side Day a must on your things to do calendar this 18 November 2011.
