The Pirates Week Annual Darts Tournament is a very competitive one, where all of the local top guns gather to see who will the victorious one. The format that is played is Mickey Mouse. All fellow darters should be familiar, but to those who are not, this is the format where you are selected to complete not necessary in sequence numbers twenty to fifteen and then bulls eye. The object of this game is to complete your number before your opponent does and to try and build a substantial score where your opponent cannot succeed in the task of finishing before you.
Sponsored by Budweiser and organised by the local Cayman Islands Dart Association, the tournament this year will be hosted by Corner Pocket, located in Allista Towers on North Sound Road. When entering this establishment you can’t help but notice the scenic background of darts and more darts. When Corner Pocket was first established it was specifically designed for pool and darts, and ever since in the eyes of all local players it has become the headquarters for our local league. This tournament will commence at 1pm on Sunday the 22 November 2009. This is an open tournament; you don’t have to be registered in our league to participate.
